1.4 million American adults attempt suicide every year. That's roughly one suicide attempt every 23 seconds. Thousands of people are directly affected by suicide attempts every single day—those who live through suicide attempts, and their friends and loved ones—and yet addressing it openly, honestly, and productively is taboo.

Live Through This is a collection of portraits and true stories of suicide attempt survivors across the United States, in their own words. It confronts a fear-filled topic head-on by exploring the experiences of those who have been there. It puts faces to the numbers. It challenges the viewer to set that fear aside, to start a dialogue, and to break the cycle of prejudice and discrimination against those who live with mental health differences.
