First Aid Kit at Music Hall of Williamsburg | Brooklyn Concert Photography

This past Sunday, Sweden’s First Aid Kit finished out a two day run in New York with an amazing sold out show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. I was having a rough day, but managed to convinced myself to hoof it across town to check it out, and I’m so glad I did. The vocal harmonies of the Söderberg sisters backed by the perfection of pedal steel and mandolin (as played by Mike Mogis of Saddle Creek and Bright Eyes fame) blew my goddamn mind. Personal highlights included an acoustic version of “Ghost Town” and a beautiful encore cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “America.” This band is one of my favorite discoveries of 2012 so far. Do yourself a favor and take a listen.

Pictures? Glad you asked.
