Eric Hutchinson Plays the Highline Ballroom | New York City Concert Photography

Eric Hutchinson just finished up a tour for his most recent album, Moving Up Living Down, and played the Highline Ballroom (one of my favorite venues to shoot at) here in New York City. Full disclosure: I wasn’t a huge fan and really only took more than a cursory listen because someone special to me is a huge fan. Said huge fan intuited the very song that would appeal to me–”Breakdown More”–and it’s such a beautiful song that it’s ended up on repeat on my Spotify starred list for the past several weeks. Given that, by the time we got to the venue, got settled, and Eric actually took the stage, I was pretty excited to see what he could do live. Verdict: he was fantastic. He had amazing energy and a full band with an awesome vibe. It probably didn’t hurt that I had the best company ever, either. I haven’t had that much fun at a show in a long time (totally even enjoyed the gratuitous Sublime cover). Check out my photos from the show below and, as always, you can see my portfolio at ifeelinfinite.net.
